No Glove No Love

Boom Pow EXPLOSIONS!!! all of which have nothing to do with the blog post and only there for visual and sound effects. So having started the post with a bang, here is an illustration I did for Feathertale magazine.

The story is about a older man's realization that hes getting old. He recalls hearing "Celebration when he was younger, but now it plays on the oldies station. The ending of the story has him in a doctors office for a checkup and he hears Kool and The Gang playing in the background. Also am very pleased to announce that this was chosen for American Illustration 30!

Runaway Fast As You Can

May is here! Summer time is just around the corner. Unless you live somewhere thats hot year round, then I'm jealous and going to cry in a corner now. But for now here is a post for a recent illustration for Runners World!

The illo is for the Q&A ask the experts article. I choose to illustrate the question on how to run through a headwind. The answer focused on using your arms and core to "fight" through the wind. I really thought the image of fighting an actual wind would be fun so I went with that.

As well here is the layout. It was an awesome experience illustrating for Runners World. They've been a dream client that I've wanted to illustrate for along time. Also honored to be with some great illustrators in the issue: Josh Cochran, Frank Stockton, Marcos Chin and John Hendrix!
