The Man Ram

Oh Manny Ramirez you little trouble maker you. This illustration is based the news about Manny's 50 game suspension for being caught using P.E.D's (Performance Enchaning Drugs). Article here

It was nice to do something sports related, i'm really involved in sports news and anything related to it. However I never really combine my love for that and art. Im really happy how this turned out and hopefully i'll do more sports illustrations!
On another testosterone filled note, deadliest warrior is ON TONIGHT SHAKA ZULU VS WILLIAM WALLACE!!! SHOULD BE GOOD!!! or really terrible...whatever I'm watching it either way lol.

Mantracker: Fantracked!!!!

So last month I sent an email to Bonterra productions (which produces Mantracker) with the aim of possibly getting Mantracker to see it. I got an email from Ihor Macijiwsky the executive producer of Bonterra, who really liked the image and wanted some prints for the studio. After some cowboy style bartering, they said they would get me Season 3 of Mantracker on DVD (NOT EVEN RELEASED YET) and they would try to send a copy for Mantracker to sign!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! FAST FORWARD to today and here we are, I got it!!! I'm so thrilled and I really appreciate Ihor Macijiwsky, Christine Zaher, and the editors for being so nice and amazing! It was too nice of a day outside not to take pictures in the open air.

Money shot!!

Process: Barack Berry Bold

Oh hi there didn't see you come in, well since your here join me for a little trip. A trip I like to call......ok I lost the joke. Anyways here is the final for my Barack Berry Bold image. I'm developing my own theories on what inks you can mix and cannot, and its been a tough process but I'm learning a lot. Here's the the process!!

This is the initial sketch I did right away when I thought of the idea, I wasn't thinking of making it into a final at this point. However I liked it enough to try to make it finished.

I cleaned the face up a bit, and made the lines more defined and crisp. I tried to make some more places black to balance out the inking that I would do. I try my best not to go too tight, because I still like to keep the essence of the sketch

With the magic of inks, sunlight, computer editing and the big bees chasing me around in my backyard, I get this! Its funny how this all started as a small joke that I laughed to myself about,to this!

I think the most important thing to remember is to draw any and every idea that comes to mind, because something good will always come from it. If you randomly think of a great idea that relates to nothing...draw it! If you think of a bad idea...draw it! If your in the saloon cornered by bandits and your 6 shooter is by your side...draw it!!! Anyways enjoy! Feedback and comments are always well appreciated!!

Barack Berry Bold

So two posts in one day? IMPOSSIBLE you say?, Ha I scoff at you and say YES...YES I CAN!! (queue the sparse clapping.) So I thought of this when I was on the couch reading and playing with my black berry bold while pretending to read. I had a good awkward laugh by myself, and sketched it out. I kind of like the image, I think I'll develop this more!! So technically I guess this is a progress post. Huzzah!!

It's starting time again!!

Here's something I did in the morning to officially start "Hey guess what your not in school anymore so you have to do work from home now" day. I think when you have the itch to try some new things out you should always scratch it, but not too much or you might need some ointment. What am I talking about? I think I need to eat lunch.
