While I was at work I picked a random BBC podcast documentary and listened to it with the intent of making another illustration. The podcast was called "No more child witches in DRC?" and can be listened to HERE

The piece is about the big problem in the DRC (Democratic Republic of Congo) concerning children who are being called witches. There are hundreds of children homeless in the streets who have been labeled witches and many have undergone abuse. Congo is trying to pass a law which makes it illegal to call someone a witch, but the story is more complicated and deeper than that and I suggest you listen!

This illustration is about the innocent image of a child that is being corrupted.

This is it!! My final piece's for interp illustration. I chose to do a piece on a podcast documentary by the BBC. A synopsis can be found HERE!

Basically the documentary was about graduates aged 20-30 went to Iraq to join a coalition to help re-build Iraq. They had many tasks like clean up of the city and helping to start up basic services (water, electricity). The problem was that many thought they were too inexperienced for the job, and that the problems were too big for them to solve.

Wow so big news, I actually got sick. I very rarely get sick because I take so many vitamins in the morning, and I usually get over things fast. Anyways it was really hard to draw while I had a fever, My head was all over the place and I had meds all pumped in me. I was pretty frustrated not being able to draw because a)I was in bed doing nothing and b)I might as well draw.
